Online Dating Mobile App Revenue Expected to Soar

DIMOCOdatingVIENNA – According to Juniper Research, online dating apps for mobile devices will generate 486 million euros in Europe alone by 2019. The statistic implies a huge opportunity to generate revenue through mobile billing, according to the president and chief executive officer of a mobile messaging and carrier billing specialist.

“Searching online for true love has never been so popular,” said DIMOCO’s Gerald Tauchner. “Mobile applications and web platforms are already a must-have in the dating industry. Likewise, the willingness to pay for dating services is continually growing.”

The pervasiveness of dating necessarily leads to questions about mobile payment choices, he added.

DIMOCO partnered with Swiss think-tank GDI to survey online dating service providers about the future of billing and their current payment strategy. Notably, the dating services indicated integrating seamless and easy billing methods, including carrier billing, tops of their lists for future development.
