Sex Toy Testing Proves to be Lucrative Job

Checkboxes650GAINESBOROUGH, England – A British housewife who left a high-power profession in the banking industry to tend to her family now makes a comfortable full-time living as a professional sex toy tester. Her annual salary? About £16,022.

Cara Houiellebecq said she receives new products every week. She and her partner put the toys through their paces, and then she posts the results to her blog. To date she has reviewed more than 2,000 novelties.

One side benefit, she noted, is that she experiences 15 orgasms weekly in the name of research.

“Toys have always been a part of my private sex life,” Houiellebecq told the UK’s Daily Mirror newspaper. “It gave me the idea to start writing about my sex life, and I had the idea to start testing sex toys.”

Ironically, the 33-year-old mother of two only began blogging about sex toys for fun. She was as surprised as anyone else when her blog developed a significant following. She didn’t seek the position of professional sex-toy tester. Instead, the job found her.

“I was noticed by a sex toy company who wanted me to work for them,” she said. “Now manufacturers and sellers ask if they can send stuff to me because so many people read my reviews.”

Houiellebecq said her favorite sex toys include the USB-rechargeable iGino One, the Doxy Wand and almost any bullet vibrator.

Her partner supports Houiellebecq’s new career.

“My partner doesn’t see it as a threat,” she told the Daily Mirror. “We always say toys are the seasoning to a sex life, not a replacement. When I get toys for men, he helps me with the testing. It’s a part of our lives now.”
