Womanizer Offers Women In-store Product Test
BERLIN – German women will get a chance to sample the wares in a very personal way when Womanizer opens a pop-up store Dec. 1-2 in the Seven Star Gallery.
The temporary retail outlet will offer a stylish, private, soundproof room where women may get “up-close and personal” with the Womanizer product. The company is putting its reputation on the line with the promise that women will emerge with a different understanding of sex toys and orgasm.
“We are still noticing that women are hesitant to buy sex toys,” said Womanizer spokeswoman Johanna Rief. “Many of them are unsure of how much benefit a sex toy will bring to their sex life. We want to show these women otherwise. That’s why we are offering the chance to experience the quality and sensations in-store.
“As a little incentive, the first 100 women to try our products will be able to keep the ‘test toy,’” she added. “The products are worth €15,000 in total. An early Christmas present, perhaps?”
Studies report one in three women rarely or never achieves an orgasm. Womanizer has adopted the slogan “Orgasm is a human right” in an attempt to change the status quo. With the pp-up store, the company hopes to open dialogue about women’s pleasure and show sex toys are not dirty objects, but instead offer sexual enrichment.
“It is quite something to claim that Womanizer products will finally enable every women to achieve an orgasm. It sounds more like an empty advertising promise,” said Friedrich Tromm, founder and managing director of Womanizer’s brand agency, Try No Agency. “That’s why we want women to experience the reality for themselves.”
The pop-up store will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 1-2 in the Seven Star Gallery at 7 Gormannstrasse, 10119 Berlin.
