Allie Haze Debuts New ‘Emmanuelle’ at Cannes

YNOT EUROPE – Each year during the month of May, Cannes welcomes the cream of the traditional film industry. Adult actresses and actors never fail to join the crowd, albeit around the edges. Although most chose not to participate this year, a few exceptions made notable appearances.

From France, both Tiffany Doll and Jasmine Arabia strutted among the glitterati. On the American side, Allie Haze debuted the new 3D mainstream version of the cult-classic erotic film Emmanuelle to crowds at the 64th annual film festival.

New Vivid Girl Haze has taken the pseudonym Brittany Joy for her mainstream movie appearances. The new Emmanuelle, produced by Alain Siritzki, comprises nine scenes. Haze/Joy, a lovely Dutch-born Californian, appears with, among others, Sylvia Kristel.

American porn studio Vivid is basking in the glow of at least two of its megawatt stars on the Côte d’Azur. Haze is joined by Capri Anderson, who as a tourist accompanies a French actor to the festival.

None of the forgoing will win an award, sadly, as no adult industry film is in competition. Perhaps the Palme d’Or will award a crown to Haze’s sisters Bobbi Starr and Andy San Dimas for their roles in Nicolas Winding Refn’s mainstream film Drive.

At least a few adult industry luminaries carry the banner at the Cannes Film Festival, despite the absence of the lamented Hot d’Or. In years past, the award gathered dozens of actresses, actors, directors, producers and others in the adult industry along the sidelines of the festival. We shall mourn a bygone era.
