YNOT EUROPE – A new script-driven gay adult studio has arisen in the Czech Republic. Hornet Pictures, a subsidiary of U.K.-based STG Pictures, recently released its first title, The Secret Life of Students.

For 18 years prior to embarking on the gay porn path, STG produced fetish films under the label Sting Pictures.

The Secret Life of Students is set in the 1960s and follows the sexual adventures of 15 young men and the staff at a “liberal” college. According to a Hornet Pictures spokesman, producer Michael Steele worked to create “a new sense of realism” in the film, employing careful planning when it came to cast, costumes and location.

Director Richard O’Shea said he had grown tired of the homogeneity he noticed in other contemporary gay adult content, noting everything looked the same regardless which European studio produced the content. As a mainstream film director, O’Shea wanted to develop more characterization in his adult titles, so viewers could “get to know the boys more, really want to know the boys more and then see them in some hot action sequences.”

The studio used realistic sets and detailed costumes for its first film, “not just another back-street lounge sofa as the main prop,” O’Shea said.

The cast includes Nick Carter, Alex Granger, Rowan Hunter, Sebastian, Joey king, Richie Sachs, Justin Kingsley, Ryan Philips, Clay Osbourne, Martin Corvin, Andy Black, Brandon Junior, Matt Steel and Jose Manuel.
