FreeOnes Charity Drive Voting Begins

FreeOnes holiday charity drive
YNOT EUROPE – Babe directory FreeOnes.com has opened to public voting the list of potential beneficiaries for its first holiday charity drive. The list, compiled by the 2012 Miss FreeOnes winners and FreeOnes members, includes charitable organizations worldwide: Polaris Project, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Humane Society International, Wounded Warriors, American Red Cross, Breast Cancer Research, Mine Kafon, Prevent River Blindness, Sea Shepherd and Water for People.

Voting will continue through Dec. 23. The charity that has received the most votes when the poll closes will receive a sizable donation from FreeOnes and participating sponsors. FreeOnes plans to announce the beneficiary on Christmas Eve.

To kick off the charity drive, FreeOnes donated $1,000. Other sponsors have chipped in, and the total donation currently stands at $8,500. FreeOnes will continue to accept donations through Dec. 14.

“We’re very happy to see that the whole charity drive is coming together, especially since this was a last-minute idea,” said FreeOnes spokeswoman Petra, who organized the fundraiser. “With the economy the way it is, and with people having less money to donate to charities that really need it, we just wanted to see how much we could get together to make this a meaningful gift.

“We would like to say thank you to everyone who has donated so far,” she added. “With your donations, we’re going to make this a very happy holiday for one of the nominated charities.”
