Bobbi Eden a Double Winner at First Dutch XXX Awards

BobbiEdenRedBackgroundAMSTERDAM – Performer Bobbi Eden was named Pornstar of the Year and Industry Personality of the Year during the first awards presentation designed to recognize “the best companies and individuals working in the Dutch adult entertainment industry.”

The Dutch XXX Awards were determined by fan and industry-insider voting. Winners were announced Sept. 20 during the Dutch Webmaster Meeting, hosted in conjunction with the annual Webmaster Access conference.

“I am obviously thrilled to win not one but two awards from the first-ever Dutch XXX Awards,” Eden said. “It is always gratifying to be recognized for all the hard work that goes into what I do. Thank you to the fans who supported and voted for me.

“It’s amazing to think this has been the best year yet for me in the business,” she added. “I have a feeling the best is yet to come.”

For the past several years, Eden has called Hollywood, Calif., her home, but she remains a fan favorite in her native country. She’s a darling of the Dutch press, especially after her recent appearance on the mainstream television show Jokertje’s Jawoord [“Joker Ties the Knot”]. Filmed in Las Vegas, the show airs on Holland TV RTL5.

Despite the uphill battle most porn stars face when seeking mainstream acceptance in the U.S., Eden has had no trouble finding fame in Holland. A sportscar featuring her image competed in the European CannonBall Run, and she recently became the first adult performer to be named an official sponsor for a line of clothes shown during Amsterdam Fashion Week. Holland’s biggest publisher, Nijgh & Van Ditmar, expects to release Eden’s autobiography next spring.

“It has been an absolute whirlwind of mainstream media and fan appearances,” Eden said.
