Hinge requires clear face photos, expands liveness detection to all users
Hinge has introduced facial age estimation for users in the UK and Australia and expanded FaceTec liveness detection to all users globally, requiring at least one clear face photo to confirm minimum age. The company says biometric images and short audit clips are retained for compliance and to support trust-and-safety tools, with specific retention windows for different jurisdictions.
